Fallen Trees Prompt Closure Of Eastbound I-84

(Portland, OR)  --  A 34-mile stretch of eastbound Interstate 84 is closed because of fallen trees caused by high winds.  Transportation officials say the eastbound lanes were closed around nine o'clock last night from Exit 17 at Troutdale to Exit 64 at Hood River.  ODOT says the closure is expected to last until noon tomorrow.  Officials say crews will be clearing 20 trees that fell across I-84, along with other storm-related debris.
