Wrongfully-Convicted Prisoner Freed After 15 Years

(Clallam Bay, WA)  --  A man who was wrongly convicted of murder in 2002 is now free.  Donovan Allen was 18 when he was found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of his mother in Longview, but newly-discovered DNA evidence has led to a new trial.  Attorneys from the University of Washington Innocence Project were able to facilitate the trial for Allen's cousin, saying the DNA linked him to the crime.  After the new trial was granted, the Cowlitz County District Attorney's Office vacated the murder charge against Allen.
