(Portland, OR)  --  A 28-year-old Portland man is in custody after being accused of shoplifting 50-thousand-dollars of high-end merchandise.  "The Oregonian" reports Thomas R. Thompson told investigators he stole repeatedly from Macy's and Champs Sports at Lloyd Center, and from Nordstrom and Abbot & Rinehart Jewelers in downtown Portland, so he could support his heroin habit.  Police say Thompson made off with items ranging from sneakers to Rolex watches.  He's facing charges of aggravated theft and identity theft.
