Electrical Fire Cuts Power To SW Portland Traffic Signals

(Portland, OR)  --  Traffic-signal operations are getting back to normal in Southwest Portland, after power to those signals was cut by an electrical fire.  Portland Bureau of Transportation officials say yesterday's outage affected traffic signals on major corridors including Southwest Barbur Boulevard, Macadam Avenue, and Terwilliger Boulevard.  Power went out around 4:30 yesterday evening after an electrical equipment problem sparked the fire on a utility pole.
