(Olympia, WA) -- A bill that's been signed into law will create a task force responsible for recommending ways to reduce violence between police and citizens in Washington. The task force will include legislators, representatives of law-enforcement agencies, and members of advocacy groups for minorities and people with disabilities. A co-founder of the Black Alliance of Thurston County, which was formed after the shooting of two young black men in Olympia last year, says Governor Inslee's signature on the measure is a historic first step toward reducing use of force by police.
