(Undated)  --  Computer manufacturer Dell ranks Portland among the most "future-ready" cities in the world.  Dell's Future-Ready Economy Model lists Portland 15th among metropolitan areas with economies that are prepared to take advantage of new technological challenges.  The Dell study measured whether people had the necessary skills to drive social and economic change, whether the infrastructure was sufficient to support progress, and whether innovation and growth could be sustained by the economy.  San Jose, California tops the list, followed by San Francisco, Singapore, London, and Washington, DC, with Seattle ranked 13th.
