(Gresham, OR)  --  Authorities say a Fairview police officer who was shot last night in Gresham is expected to survive.  Officials say the officer and his partner, both assigned to the East Metro Gang Enforcement Team, were the first officers to respond to a report of a crash in the area of Southeast 188th and East Burnside.  Police say the driver fled the vehicle and was later tracked to an apartment on Northeast Couch.  The police officer was shot shortly afterward, as was the suspect.  Both are expected to survive their wounds.
