(Portland, OR) -- Multnomah County Chair Deborah Kafoury says she's launched an administrative investigation into accusations that Sheriff Dan Staton has created a work environment hostile to employees. Kafoury made the announcement yesterday, a day after the union representing patrol deputies gave Staton a "no confidence" vote. Matt Ferguson, president of the Multnomah County Deputy Sheriff's Association, says Staton uses fear and favoritism to lead the sheriff's office "ruthlessly and unpredictably."
