Seattle To Host Special Olympics USA Games In 2018

(Seattle, WA)  --  Seattle will be hosting the Special Olympics USA Games in 2018.  Governor Jay Inslee says plans are being made for the week-long competition, which is expected to draw thousands of visitors from across the country.  USA Games CEO and president Beth Knox says discussions began with Washington leaders last year on making Seattle the host of the 2018 games, which will mark the 50th year of the event.  About 35-hundred athletes from across the U.S. will compete in 16 sports.
