(Portland, OR)  --  Portland State University researchers say the Portland metro area is growing faster than originally projected.  KOIN-TV reports the latest estimates from PSU and the U.S. Census Bureau show more than 400-thousand people are expected to move to the seven-county Portland metro area over the next 20 years, increasing the region's population to about two-point-seven million.  The PSU report also shows a November estimate of the metro population was short by up to 33-thousand people.
