(Olympia, WA) -- Filing to become a candidate in the fall elections in Washington will resume today. The U.S. Senate race drew a number of candidates on opening day, with six people signing up and paying the required fee to run for the seat held by Democratic Patty Murray. The "Spokesman-Review" reports the Senate candidates in the August 2nd primary will include at least two Democrats, two Republicans, a Libertarian, and members of the Conservative, Independent and Human Rights parties. The filing period will end Friday afternoon.
