Police: Man Shot By Officer Was Resisting Arrest

(Oregon City, OR)  --  Authorities say a man who was shot and killed by an Oregon City police officer was violently resisting arrest.  Officials say an attempt was made Saturday to arrest 38-year-old Travis A. Moore at his home on South 2nd Street in Oregon City when he became belligerent.  Police say a Taser was ineffective against Moore, who was wanted for failing to appear in court on a harassment charge.  One of the officers on the scene shot Moore, who later died of his wounds.
