(Spokane, WA) -- The Spokane Tribe of Indians will be able to move forward with its plans to build a casino in Airway Heights, Washington, now that Governor Jay Inslee has given final approval. The U.S. Interior Department determined last year that the casino is in the best interest of the tribe and would not be harmful to the community. Inslee says evidence shows the project will be economically beneficial to the region. Tribal leaders say the project will help them out now, but will also help future generations.
