(Gresham, OR) -- Officials say a Multnomah County grand jury has decided that Gresham police officers were justified in using deadly force against Bodi Phelps. Authorities say Phelps, who was accused of assaulting his girlfriend on May 24th, was armed with two weapons when he was confronted that day by two officers. The grand jury says the officers acted legally when they shot and killed Phelps. KOIN-TV reports the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office is seeking a court order to have the grand jury proceedings transcribed and released to the public.
