(Salem, OR)  --  Police say a pedestrian was killed early this morning in a hit-and-run in Salem.  Authorities say the crash happened in the 16-hundred block of Liberty Street Southeast.  Drivers are being urged to avoid that area as the investigation is conducted.  No other details are available.
