(Olympia, WA) -- Marijuana sales in Washington reached a record high in July, according to a website that tracks state recreational-pot sales. 502data.com says the state saw 23-point-five-million dollars in marijuana-generated excise taxes last month, compared to 20-million dollars in June. July was the first month after the state closed medical marijuana dispensaries. The website says pot sales in Washington have totaled 347-million dollars so far this year, compared to 322-million in all of 2015.
