(Oregon City, OR)  --  A Milwaukie man who's accused of shooting his tenant to death has reportedly admitted to the charge.  Several news outlets are reporting that 66-year-old Gerald Miller of Milwaukie claims self-defense in the deadly shooting of 53-year-old Ricky McKowen at the home on Southeast Oatfield Road.  Miller claims that McKowen, who had been living in the basement of the house for three years, rarely paid his rent.  Miller says he was in the process of evicting his tenant when McKowen threatened to kill him Sunday morning, and says he shot McKowen out of fear for his own life.
