(Olympia, WA)  --  The new secretary of the Washington State Department of Transportation is a familiar face.  Governor Jay Inslee has appointed Roger Millar to head the agency, promoting him from acting secretary.  He took over in February from Lynn Peterson, who was ousted when the state Senate declined to approve her appointment.  Until that time, Millar served as the transportation department's deputy secretary.
