Inmate Who Escaped From Portland Work Crew Captured

(Lane Co., OR)  --  Authorities say an inmate who walked off from a work-release crew in Northwest Portland is back in custody.  Officials say Jason Lewis Ray was taken into custody in Lane County last night, following a standoff at a mobile-home park that lasted several hours.  The Lane County Sheriff's Office says Ray told deputies he had a bomb, but he came out of the mobile home and surrendered after gas was deployed in the residence.  "The Oregonian" reports Ray walked away last Friday from the work crew near Pittock Mansion.
