(Tigard, OR)  --  A man is facing burglary and assault charges, after being accused of pepper-spraying an Oregon State Police trooper and breaking into several houses with people inside.  Authorities say John Michael Auer became combative during a traffic stop yesterday in Tigard and pepper-sprayed the trooper, who tried to Taser him.  Officials say Auer ran from the trooper and barged into several occupied homes, from which he was chased out.  Auer was finally apprehended and booked into the Washington County Jail.
