(Seattle, WA) -- The estate of a man who died when he got caught in an escalator in downtown Seattle in 2013 has reached a million-dollar settlement with the city. Maurecio Bell was strangled in April 2013 when his shirt got caught at the base of the escalator inside the University Station bus terminal. Surveillance video shows Bell getting snagged in the escalator and struggling to get free before he stops moving. Police say a Good Samaritan tried to pull him from the still-moving escalator, but was unable to.
