Microsoft Trims Jobs In Seattle Area and Abroad

(Seattle, WA)  --  Employees in Microsoft's Seattle-area offices were among the roughly 520 workers laid off by the software giant last week.  A company spokeswoman tells "The Seattle Times" the cuts are the latest round of the more than 28-hundred layoffs Microsoft announced would happen during its current fiscal year.  More than 200 of the cuts took place in London, while most of the remainder were located in the Seattle area.
