(Portland, OR)  --  The U.S. Census Bureau says the Portland-area poverty rate fell considerably last year.  Bureau figures show about 26-thousand area residents rose above the poverty line, including the families of 12-thousand children.  The agency says the Portland-area poverty rate was 12-point-two percent last year, compared to 13-point-six percent in 2014.
