(Portland, OR)  --  A man who was president of Portland State University for a decade is dead at age 69.  Daniel O. Bernstine served in that capacity from 1997 until 2007, and is credited with overseeing 114-million dollars in donations during his tenure at PSU.  Bernstine is reported to have died last week.  Funeral arrangements are pending.
