(Undated)  --  A new WalletHub survey of the "Best States for Teachers" places Oregon among the worst.  Data used in the survey included median starting salary, pupil-teacher ratio, and school safety.  Oregon is ranked 48th overall on the WalletHub list, coming in at 41st in the category of Job Opportunity and Competition, and 46th for Academic & Work Environment.  New Jersey is ranked the Best State for Teachers, with Washington state ranked 38th overall.
