(Undated) -- Oregon ranks in the nation's top ten when it comes to energy efficiency, according to a scorecard issued by the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy. The non-profit says it develops the rankings based on studies of each state's energy-efficiency policies and procedures, including financial incentives for energy-efficient businesses. Oregon is ranked seventh overall, and scores a total of 35 out of a possible 50 points. Washington is ranked eighth with 34-point-five points, while California and Massachusetts are in a tie for first place with 45 points each.
