(Portland, OR)  --  Portland Public Schools Chief Operating Officer Tony Magliano is stepping down.  Magliano, who was put on paid administrative leave June 2nd in the midst of controversy surrounding revelations of elevated levels of lead in school water, says his resignation will be effective October 3rd.  He's led the PPS Facilities and Maintenance Department since March 2014.  Chief Financial Officer Carole Smith and Environmental Health and Safety Officer Andy Fridley recently resigned from Portland Public Schools.
