Holiday Hiring Projected To Rise In Washington

(Olympia, WA)  --  The state Employment Security Department says Washington retailers are likely to hire nearly 14-thousand seasonal workers throughout the upcoming holiday season.  Labor department economists say retailers in the Evergreen State hired more than ten-thousand-500 additional workers during the fourth quarter of last year.  Officials say after two years of declines in hiring seasonal workers, Washington will benefit this year from healthier wage growth in the midst of an improving employment situation.
