Police: Man Says "Spirits" Made Him Sleep In Stranger's Garage

(Banks, OR)  --  Authorities say a man who was arrested for sleeping in a stranger's garage in Washington County told deputies "spirits" made him do it.  Two brothers arriving home from school yesterday in Banks discovered the man in his car, sleeping in the garage.  Officials say 51-year-old Michael Powers of Port Orchard, Washington, told deputies spirits wanted him to drive to the Oregon coast, but directed him to stop at the nearest place to sleep as he grew too tired to drive.  Powers is charged with criminal trespassing.
