(Portland, OR)  --  The American Red Cross is using Beth Israel as an emergency reception center for people displaced by the natural gas explosion in the Northwest Portland shopping district.  The synagogue on Northwest 19th Avenue and Flanders Street is offering water and coffee.  The Red Cross is teaming up with Northwest Natural to help people who are displaced by the explosion.
