(Seattle, WA)  --  The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is donating 210-million-dollars to the University of Washington for a new building to house operations for the university's Population Health Initiative.  The initiative, announced during the spring, is described as an "incredibly audacious" effort to improve the health of all people of the world.  The "Seattle Times" reports the donation by the Gates Foundation is the largest single donation the UW has ever received.
