Boeing Warns Of Possible Cut In 777 Production

(Everett, WA)  --  Boeing is warning that production of its 777 airliner could be cut in late 2017 to a lower level than previously announced.  The "Seattle Times" reports the output rate could be reduced to 42 jets per year from the current 100.  The aviation giant previously announced production of the 777 was likely to fall to 66 per year, or an average of five-point-five per month.  Boeing officials say the company still hopes to receive more 777 orders this year, which could result in maintaining that planned five-point-five-per-month rate.
