Rossi Picked To Fill WA State Senate Vacancy

(Olympia, WA)  --  Former state senator and candidate for governor Dino Rossi is filling a vacancy in the Senate, which resulted from the October death of 45th District Senator Andy Hill.  The King County Council voted yesterday to choose Rossi, who served in the state Senate from 1997 through 2003.  Rossi, who's a Republican, ran twice for governor of Washington, losing both times to Christine Gregoire, and made an unsuccessful bid for U.S. Senate in 2010.  Rossi will serve in the state Senate until the end of 2017.
