(Portland, OR) -- Bail will remain at a quarter-million dollars for a man who's facing charges following a crash that killed a cyclist on Portland's St. Johns Bridge. A judge has denied a request by 42-year-old Joel Aaron Schrantz to lower his bail to 20-thousand dollars. Schrantz has pleaded not guilty to a charge of second-degree manslaughter in the October 29th death of cyclist Mitchell York. Police said Schrantz was knowingly driving with bald tires when his vehicle hit York.
