Marchers Protest Electoral College Vote

(Portland, OR)  --  Organizers say a march that took place through the streets of Portland was in protest of Republican Donald Trump being formally elected president during state-by-state meetings of the Electoral College.  Even though Democrat Hillary Clinton easily carried Oregon in November's general election, about 200 demonstrators, led by the activist group Portland's Resistance, rallied and marched to protest the upcoming Trump administration.  Earlier yesterday, all seven Oregon Democratic Party electors cast their votes for Hillary Clinton for president and Tim Kaine for vice president.
