(Olympia, WA)  --  Not all of Washington state's electoral votes are going to Democrat Hillary Clinton, even though the former secretary of state easily carried Washington in last month's presidential election.  The state's 12 Democratic electors met in Olympia yesterday, and eight of them cast their ballots for Clinton, while three other votes were cast for former Secretary of State Colin Powell.  Another elector voted for Faith Spotted Eagle, who leads the Lakota Sioux and has led the protest against the Dakota Access pipeline.  The "Spokesman-Review" reports the votes for Powell were part of a failed effort by so-called "Hamilton Electors" to keep Republican Donald Trump from being declared president.
