(Portland, OR)  --  State officials say coyotes are more common in the Portland area than many may think.  KATU-TV reports a Portland man who was on his way to work sighted a coyote yesterday morning on 28th Avenue near Piccolo Park In Southeast Portland.  Oregon Fish and Wildlife spokesman Rick Swart tells KATU-TV residents should not to make coyotes feel comfortable around humans by feeding them.  Swart says to call 911 if you feel threatened by a coyote.
