Cheesecake Factory Apologizes For Turning Away Officers

(Tacoma, WA)  --  The Cheesecake Factory is issuing an apology after Washington State Corrections officers were turned away from its restaurant in Tacoma, Washington.  An officer says the group of four was about to be seated in the restaurant Tuesday when managers approached them and told them they needed to leave the premises because they were armed.  Cheesecake Factory Corporate Headquarters responded to an inquiry from KOMO-TV and issued a statement, saying the request for the officers to leave was a "miscommunication."  Restaurant officials issued an apology and said its policy is to allow uniformed and identified law-enforcement officials to possess their service weapons on Cheesecake Factory premises.
