(Portland, OR)  --  Portland police have four suspects behind bars after a 50-year-old man was beaten unconscious.  Investigators say the assault took place yesterday morning at Southwest 5th Avenue and Stark Street.  Police say the victim was a passerby who tried to intervene as the four men argued with each other.  The victim was taken to a hospital.  The suspects are to appear in court today.
