(Portland, OR)  --  A man is in custody following a disturbance at a Northeast Portland home yesterday afternoon.  Police responded to a home on Northeast Portland Highway and 45th Avenue after a 911 caller reported hearing screams and a gunshot.  Police shut down the Northeast Portland Highway while police negotiated with a man inside to get him to surrender.  John J. Barry surrendered without incident and was taken to jail on a warrant for failure to appear in court for a DUII charge.  No one was hurt.
