(Beaverton, OR)  --  A dangerous sex offender is now behind bars after cutting off his electronic monitoring device near Beaverton.  Police searched for 58-year-old Dennis John Davis yesterday after he ditched his GPS unit and failed to report to his parole officer.  Davis has a lengthy criminal record that includes several rape and sexual assault convictions.  The Multnomah County Department of Community Justice says Davis was arrested yesterday evening in Beaverton.
