Man Pleads Not Guilty To Animal Abuse Charges

(Portland, OR)  --  A Portland man is facing numerous animal abuse charges after allegedly trying to poison his neighbor's dogs.  Prosecutors say Michael Lynch used several different poisons to try to poison the animals.  Lynch's neighbor, Richard Schmidtke, says two of his Brittany spaniels last summer ingested antifreeze that was put in a sausage and he later saw Lynch toss something into his yard.  Lynch pleaded not guilty on all charges yesterday.
