Port Looking To Upgrade Airport

(Portland, OR)  --  The Port of Portland is asking for a billion dollar upgrade to Portland International Airport to keep up with crowds and security.  The first step to kick-off the five-year renovation would be to get approval from the airlines that frequent the airport since they will ultimately pay for the project.  Port officials are working with the airlines before they vote on it in the fall.  The one-point-three billion dollar proposal would be the first major security upgrade since September 11th and would expand the airport's capacity.
