(Milton-Freewater, OR)  --  The trial for the man accused of burning a body in Umatill County will take place next month.  Conor Michael Dayton was arrested earlier this month near Broadway and Depot Street and was charged with abuse of a corpse.  Dayton told police he started a fire that burned the victim, Marcos Jesus Gutierrez-Rodriguez, but medical examiner's have yet to say how he died.  Dayton says he found the victim dead and started the fire to hide his drug use.  Guiterrez-Rodriguez is said to have had high levels of methamphetamine in his system.  The investigation is ongoing and Dayton's trial is set for August 29th.
