(Salem, OR)  --  A man is facing charges for allegedly hitting two children with his car.  Police arrested 40-year-old Casper Ankin yesterday on charges of DUI, reckless driving, third-degree assault and felony hit-and-run.  Police say a three-year-old girl and a five-year-old boy were playing on the sidewalk on Navaho Court Southeast in southeast Salem yesterday when Ankin backed out of his driveway and hit them.  Police say he tried to leave the scene of the crash, but witnesses held him there.  The two children are expected to survive.
