Portland Woman Finds Stranger's Ashes In Dad's Urn

(Portland, OR)  --  A Portland woman is suing an Oregon cremation company after it gave her the wrong ashes.  Kimberly Grecco says she was preparing to scatter her late father's remains when she found someone else's toe tag in the urn.  She says the box from Crown Memorial Center had her dad's name on the outside and a stranger's ashes on the inside.  She's seeking two-and-a-half million dollars in damages from the cremation center.  That firm had reportedly assumed responsibility for the mix-up and was formally reprimanded earlier in the year by the Oregon Mortuary and Cemetery Board.
