(Hood River, OR) -- A team of specialists is in Hood River studying damage caused by the Eagle Creek Wildfire. Roughly 50 biologists, hydrologists, soil scientists, engineers and archaeologists with the Burned Area Emergency Response team arrived in the area yesterday. The group has the job of developing short-term and long-term restoration plans for the area. The Eagle Creek fire has burned nearly 50-thousand acres since it started earlier this month and is now 46-percent contained.
