New Distracted Driving Law In Effect

(Portland, OR)  --  Oregon's new distracted driving law is now in effect.  House Bill 2597 went into effect yesterday.  The new law says drivers can't hold their phones in their hands while driving.  The law is aimed at cutting down on distracted driving crashes, which ODOT says happen every two and a half hours in Oregon.
