California Man Dead After Allegedly Shooting, Killing Oregon Chef

(Ashland, OR)  --  A California man is dead after allegedly shooting and killing a chef at an Ashland lodge.  Investigators say 50-year-old Neil Brian Norman entered Callahan's Lodge over the weekend and walked into the kitchen, where he killed 40-year-old Ryan Bagley.  Norman then allegedly stole a car, positioned it in the middle of a roadway, got out of the car with a rifle, and was hit and killed by the first car to encounter him.  Members of Norman's family told detectives they were surprised by the incident but said he had undiagnosed mental health issues.
