Indiana Supreme Court Rules On Sexual Consent Law

(Indianapolis, IN)  --  An Indiana man could be sentenced to three years for sending a sexually explicit photo of himself to an Oregon 16-year-old girl in 2014.  Sameer Girish Thakar's case had previously been dismissed, but a recent ruling on the sexual consent law in Indiana means he could now be facing time.  The Indiana Supreme Court ruling maintains it is still legal for those over the age of 18 to have sex with someone 16 years of age or older, but it's a crime for an adult to send a sexually explicit photo of themselves to a 16-year-old.
